# DropAgent DropAgent is a ringless voicemail and SMS follow-up platform for business teams and AI agents. Prepare a recording or text-to-speech script, queue voicemail, and optionally send a text after delivery. Use the web workspace, REST API, or MCP tools. Canonical site: https://getdropagent.com ## Intended use Follow up with people who have given permission to be contacted: estimates, property inquiries, proposals, and existing sales conversations. DropAgent delivers recorded messages; it is not a live conversational voice agent or a click-to-call dialer. ## Delivery behavior A two-call flow uses a connected carrier to reach voicemail. The first call is cancelled after a carrier-specific delay. A brief ring can still occur; do not promise that a phone can never ring. An answering-machine detection fallback is also available. Queue acceptance does not guarantee delivery. Check the drop status and blockReason. ## Signup, credits, and activation Create a workspace at https://getdropagent.com/signup. POST /api/v1/signup accepts name and email and returns an API key once. The current backend creates a sandbox organization and a da_test_ key. Sandbox delivery is simulated; it does not contact real phones. The launch offer is 10 free credits for real voicemail deliveries at live activation. Credit granting and live activation are separate backend work. Do not describe those credits as already available on a sandbox account or infer a balance from the advertised offer. The signup interface reads the actual sandbox flag and an optional credits.remaining balance. No public interactive demo or demo-request step is part of the signup flow. ## Pricing status Existing software list prices in USD, retained while paid plan details are finalized: - Free sandbox: $0 - Starter: $75/mo - Team: $475/mo - Growth: $975/mo - Scale: $1,975/mo Paid checkout and tier inclusions are not currently implemented. These list prices are not equivalent to a competitor's usage bundles. Live voice and SMS currently incur charges on the customer's carrier account. The free launch offer does not establish an SMS allowance or promise that carrier charges are waived. ## Sending controls - Consent source, method, exact text, and a timestamp are required. Missing consent blocks a send. - The workspace's internal do-not-call list and opt-outs apply across interfaces. - STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT opt out of voicemail and SMS. STOPVM is voicemail-only. - Marketing SMS must contain a STOP instruction. - Quiet hours follow the contact's timezone. The default allowed window is 08:00–21:00; jobs wait outside it. - Daily caps, deduplication, and an organization pause switch are enforced. - Bulk sending requires a dry run, review, and a confirmation token. A token is single use and expires after 30 minutes. Obtain human approval before sending; never invent confirmation. These are software controls, not a legal compliance guarantee. TCPA and CASL requirements still apply to the sender. DropAgent does not provide 10DLC brand or campaign registration; applicable US business-texting registration is handled with the carrier. ## Interfaces - REST: https://getdropagent.com/api/v1; Authorization: Bearer API_KEY. - OpenAPI: https://getdropagent.com/openapi.json. - MCP: https://getdropagent.com/api/mcp; authenticated Streamable HTTP, same bearer key. - Discovery: https://getdropagent.com/.well-known/mcp.json. - describe_product and dropagent://product expose these facts to authenticated MCP clients. - Delivery webhooks use X-DropAgent-Signature: t=,v1=. Verify HMAC-SHA256 over timestamp + "." + raw body with the workspace secret. X-DropAgent-Event identifies the event. ## Capabilities and limits Telnyx Call Control is the implemented live carrier. Commio, Bandwidth, and VoIP.ms are adapter placeholders, not working integrations. Uploaded audio and text to speech are supported; voice cloning is not included. Custom CRM integrations can use the API; native Salesforce and HubSpot integrations are not provided. TypeScript SDK source is in sdk/dropagent; no public npm release is asserted. The Python client in sdk/python supports send_drop and get_drop. The public quickstart uses REST and curl without an SDK dependency. ## Public pages - https://getdropagent.com/ — ringless voicemail for teams and agents - https://getdropagent.com/signup — create a workspace and API key - https://getdropagent.com/use-cases — team workflows - https://getdropagent.com/developers — API and MCP integration - https://getdropagent.com/docs/quickstart — complete REST walkthrough - https://getdropagent.com/docs/rest — API reference - https://getdropagent.com/docs/mcp — agent connection and bulk confirmation - https://getdropagent.com/what-is-ringless-voicemail — product-category guide - https://getdropagent.com/compare/voicedrop — factual comparison - https://getdropagent.com/vs/slybroadcast - https://getdropagent.com/vs/drop-cowboy Markdown: /docs/quickstart.md, /docs/rest.md, /docs/mcp.md. Compare the sending workflow, integrations, and what is included before choosing a platform. VoiceDrop lists monthly Budget, Individual, Growth, and Scale plans at $95, $495, $995, and $1,995. Its plans include voice units and voice-cloning seats; SMS is priced separately. The launch offer includes 10 free voicemail delivery credits at live activation. The sandbox is available for testing. Software list prices are in USD. Paid plan inclusions and checkout are being finalized. Live voice and SMS currently use the customer's carrier account and incur carrier charges. Compare total cost and included usage, not monthly price alone. Slybroadcast lists pay-as-you-go packages starting at $12 for 100 delivered voicemails and monthly packages starting at $8 for 100. Its monthly deliveries do not roll over. The launch offer includes 10 free voicemail delivery credits at live activation. The sandbox is available for testing. Software list prices are in USD. Paid plan inclusions and checkout are being finalized. Live voice and SMS currently use the customer's carrier account and incur carrier charges. Drop Cowboy lists Starter at $125/month, Growth at $175, and Scale at $250. Monthly fees become messaging balance credit; published usage rates and included message counts vary by plan. The launch offer includes 10 free voicemail delivery credits at live activation. The sandbox is available for testing. Software list prices are in USD. Paid plan inclusions and checkout are being finalized. Live voice and SMS currently use the customer's carrier account and incur carrier charges. Use sandbox credentials for this guide; do not use fictional contacts with live credentials. ## 1. Create a workspace and save your key Sign up, then save the API key shown once. Use a da_test_ sandbox key for the fictional contact in this guide. Set it in your local shell; never put a key in browser code or a public repository. ```sh export DROPAGENT_API_KEY="da_test_YOUR_KEY" ``` ## 2. Add a sandbox caller ID A fresh workspace needs a caller ID before it can queue a drop. This fictional number is for the sandbox only. Live sending needs an authorized, configured number on your connected carrier. ```sh curl https://getdropagent.com/api/v1/numbers \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $DROPAGENT_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"e164":"+14165550199","voiceEnabled":true,"smsEnabled":true}' ``` ## 3. Create a sandbox contact The consent fields below are test fixtures for a fictional number. In live sending, record the recipient’s actual permission. Save the contact.id returned by this request. ```sh curl https://getdropagent.com/api/v1/contacts \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $DROPAGENT_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "e164": "+14165550142", "firstName": "Alex", "timezone": "America/Toronto", "consent": { "source": "sandbox-test", "method": "test_fixture", "text": "Sandbox fixture only. No real recipient." } }' ``` ## 4. Prepare a message Create a text-to-speech audio asset. Save the audio.id returned by the API. You can also upload a recording through the workspace or the audio endpoint. ```sh curl https://getdropagent.com/api/v1/audio \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $DROPAGENT_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "name": "Estimate follow-up", "ttsText": "Hi Alex, your estimate is ready. Let me know if you have any questions." }' ``` ## 5. Queue the voicemail and follow-up text Replace the IDs with the values returned above. A sandbox request simulates delivery. The SMS is scheduled only after voicemail delivery; quiet hours can leave a drop queued until the next allowed window. ```sh curl https://getdropagent.com/api/v1/drops \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $DROPAGENT_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "contactId": "CONTACT_ID", "audioId": "AUDIO_ID", "followUpSmsBody": "Hi Alex, reply YES for your estimate. Reply STOP to opt out.", "followUpDelaySeconds": 120 }' ``` ## 6. Check the result Replace DROP_ID with the returned drop.id. Inspect the drop status and blockReason, plus any follow-up messages. A successful queue response does not mean delivery has completed. ```sh curl https://getdropagent.com/api/v1/drops/DROP_ID \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $DROPAGENT_API_KEY" ``` Missing consent blocks delivery. A queued response is not a delivery confirmation. --- # DropAgent REST API Base URL: https://getdropagent.com/api/v1 Authentication: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Signup is public. Full schema: https://getdropagent.com/openapi.json | Method | Path | Purpose | | --- | --- | --- | | POST | /api/v1/signup | Create a workspace and return its API key once; this build creates sandbox accounts. | | POST | /api/v1/numbers | Add a caller ID to the workspace pool. Live numbers require carrier setup. | | POST | /api/v1/contacts | Create a contact, optionally with a consent record. | | POST | /api/v1/contacts/:id/consent | Record consent source, exact text, and method. | | POST | /api/v1/dnc | Add a number to your internal do-not-call list. | | POST | /api/v1/audio | Prepare a TTS script or upload base64 audio. | | POST | /api/v1/drops | Queue one voicemail and an optional SMS follow-up. | | POST | /api/v1/drops/bulk | Preview bulk sends, then submit a matching confirmation token. | | GET | /api/v1/drops/:id | Read delivery status, call legs, and follow-up messages. | | POST | /api/v1/sms | Send SMS. Marketing messages must include a STOP instruction. | | POST | /api/v1/sequences | Create a sequence triggered by voicemail delivery. | | PATCH | /api/v1/settings | Manage limits, quiet hours, pause state, and webhook settings. | ## Outcomes and errors Check HTTP status and error.message for request failures. A queued drop can later be blocked; inspect status and blockReason. Sandbox requests do not contact real phones. ## Delivery webhooks X-DropAgent-Signature is t=,v1=. Verify HMAC-SHA256 over timestamp + "." + raw body using the workspace webhook secret, and check timestamp freshness. X-DropAgent-Event identifies the event. ## Bulk delivery Preview with dryRun true, review the result, and submit dryRun false with the returned confirmation token only after user approval. --- # Connect your agent with MCP Remote endpoint: https://getdropagent.com/api/mcp Transport: Streamable HTTP. Authentication: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. Create a workspace at https://getdropagent.com/signup to get your key. The example configuration uses the mcpServers layout; individual clients may have different settings. ```json { "mcpServers": { "dropagent": { "url": "https://getdropagent.com/api/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" } } } } ``` ## Understand the product describe_product Read product facts, prerequisites, and limitations before taking action. ## Prepare a campaign list_contacts · create_contact · record_consent · list_audio · create_tts_audio · list_campaigns · create_campaign Create the contacts and audio your workflow needs. ## Send and follow up send_drop · send_bulk_drops · send_sms · create_followup_sequence Use the same sending controls as the workspace. Bulk sending requires human approval of the dry run. ## Track what happened get_drop_status · list_drops · get_usage Check progress and usage after a request is queued. ## Bulk confirmation Call send_bulk_drops with dryRun true. Review the returned eligibility and confirmToken with the user. Only after explicit approval, submit dryRun false with the same inputs and returned confirmToken. Tokens expire after 30 minutes and are single use. Never invent approval. Local stdio: DROPAGENT_API_KEY=YOUR_KEY npm run mcp from the project checkout.
