What is ringless voicemail?
Ringless voicemail is a recorded message that shows up in someone's voicemail without a normal ringing phone call. They can listen when they want. It is not a live conversation.
How it is different from calling
A normal call rings until a person or their voicemail answers. Ringless voicemail tries to skip that ring and leave the recording directly. People still choose whether to listen. It does not guarantee they will call back.
How DropAgent does it
DropAgent places two calls. One holds the line. The other reaches voicemail. The first call is then ended. If that timing is off for the person's carrier, a short ring can still happen. The delivery report shows that. It is not hidden. There is also a fallback that listens for an answering machine when a ringless drop is not the right fit.
After a voicemail is delivered, DropAgent can send the text you wrote. If the person replies STOP, further marketing voicemail and text to that number stop.
When businesses use it
Teams use it to follow up with people who already asked to hear from them: a contractor after an estimate request, an agent after a listing inquiry, an agency after a proposal, a sales team after a meeting. It is a poor fit for strangers who never agreed to be contacted.
The rules still apply
DropAgent will not send when permission is missing, when the number is on your do-not-call list, when the person has opted out, when it is outside quiet hours in their time zone, or when a daily limit is hit. Those checks support a TCPA or CASL program. They are not legal advice. You are still responsible for who you contact and what you say.
10DLC is the US registration program for business texting. DropAgent does not register a brand or a campaign for you. If you text customers in the United States, that registration still happens with your phone carrier.
